The work of art is infinitely entangled with the life of its creator.

The “In Studio” series invites artists to display their work and give us a little glimpse into their lives, inspirations, and journeys to better understand them as artists and, ultimately, as people.

ชิ้นงานศิลปะนั้น เกี่ยวเนื่องและพัวพันกับชีวิตของผู้สร้างสรรค์อย่างไม่สิ้นสุด

ซีรีส์ “In Studio” เชิญชวนศิลปินให้ไม่เพียงแต่แสดงผลงานศิลปะของตนเท่านั้น แต่ยังให้ผู้ชมได้สัมผัสชีวิต แรงบันดาลใจ และการ เดินทางของศิลปิน เพื่อความเข้าใจที่ลึกซึ้งขึ้นกับศิลปินท่านนี้ในฐานะศิลปินและท้ายที่สุดในฐานะมนุษย์คนนึง

About the artist

Chaiwat has had a passion for art and drawing since childhood, influenced by growing up in Bo Sang Village, Chiang Mai which is well known and was a prosperous maker of umbrellas and fans.

He has always been fascinated with creating art that reflects the concept and emotion of movement, both in the shapes and the lines of color. This interest is evident in all of his works. Besides working as an artist, he teaches in the Visual Arts department, Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna.

ชัยวัฒน์มีใจรักในการเขียนรูปมาตั้งแต่ยังเล็ก เนื่องด้วยเกิดในหมู่บ้านบ่อสร้าง จ.เชียงใหม่ ซึ่งเป็นหมู่บ้านที่ประกอบอาชีพทำร่มและพัด สัญลักษณ์แห่งเมืองเหนือของไทย จึงได้เขียนภาพบนร่มและพัดตั้งแต่เด็ก

จนถึงปัจจุบันอาจารย์ชัยวัฒน์หลงใหลในการทำงานศิลปะที่มีแนวคิดและอารมณ์ของการเคลื่อนไหวของรูปทรงหรือเส้นสี ซึ่งจะปรากฏในผลงานเด่นชัดในงาน นอกเหนือจากการสร้างผลงานศิลปะอย่างต่อเนื่อง อาจารย์ชัยวัฒน์สอนที่สาขาทัศนศิลป์ คณะศิลปกรรมและสถาปัตยกรรมศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลล้านนา
