Jitta Yatra

Jitta Yatra unfolds as both an inner journey and a landscape of time, where the artist approaches creation as a meditative act. Using earth as her primary medium, Khan reflects on it as the elemental source of life and dissolution- what is born returns to soil, and all beings arise from the same matter.

Through this cycle, earth becomes a vessel for contemplating the connectedness of matter, time, and consciousness. The works invite viewers to traverse the shifting terrain between the tangible and the transcendental, tracing the passage from ordinary human awareness toward a timeless state of knowing.

จิตตา ยาตรา เป็นทั้ง การเดินทางภายใน และ ภูมิทัศน์แห่งกาลเวลา ที่ศิลปินมองการสร้างสรรค์เป็นภาวะสมาธิ ใช้ ดิน เป็นวัสดุหลักในการสำรวจ “ธาตุแห่งการเกิดดับ” ซึ่งเปรียบได้กับต้นธาตุของชีวิต — สิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นย่อมคืนกลับสู่ดิน และสิ่งมีชีวิตทั้งหลายต่างถือกำเนิดจากธาตุเดียวกัน

ในวัฏจักรนี้ ดินจึงกลายเป็นสื่อแห่งการไตร่ตรองถึง ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสสาร เวลา และจิตสำนึก ผลงานแต่ละชิ้นเชื้อเชิญให้ผู้ชมเดินทางผ่านพรมแดนระหว่างสิ่งที่จับต้องได้และสิ่งที่อยู่เหนือรูปธรรม สู่ภาวะแห่งการรู้ที่ไร้กาลเวลา

About the artist

Khan Nathi is a Chiang Mai–based Thai artist whose practice merges art, meditation, and material exploration. After more than 30 years in interior architecture, she turned to contemporary art, working with natural materials such as clay, fabric, charcoal, and wood to reflect on the connection between human, nature, and time.

She previously collaborated with artist Mit Jai Inn as an assistant and exhibition installer on major international projects including Sunshower (Mori Art Museum, Tokyo) and APT11 (QAGOMA, Australia). She debuted as an independent artist at the 17th Biennale Jogja.
