This beautiful craft is rooted in the Puak Taem neighborhood, khuatong blends copper and carved details into ornaments of faith and beauty. From floral hairpieces (dok mai wai) to temple decorations like tiered umbrellas (chatra) and canopies (sapphathon), these works embody devotion and artistry passed down through generations.

Today, only a handful of artisans still keep this Lanna tradition alive. Don’t miss this chance to learn from one of the last living keepers of the craft.

คาล์มอยากชวนทุกคนมาพบกับลุงนิวัฒน์ ปรมาจารย์ช่างฝีมือ ในงาน “คัวตอง” ศิลปะงานทองเหลือง 

หัตถศิลป์ที่งดงามนี้สืบทอดมายาวนานจากชุมชนพวกแต้มของเรา งาน“คัวตอง” คือการสร้างสรรค์เครื่องทองเหลืองด้วยการแกะสลักลวดลายและขึ้นรูปอย่างประณีต ตั้งแต่ปิ่นดอกไม้ประดับผม (ดอกไม้ไหว) ไปจนถึงเครื่องตกแต่งประกอบศาสนา เช่น ฉัตร และสัปทน งานทุกชิ้นล้วนสะท้อนความศรัทธา ความงาม และภูมิปัญญาที่สืบต่อจากรุ่นสู่รุ่น

ปัจจุบันมีพ่อครูแม่ครูเพียงไม่กี่ท่านที่ยังคงรักษาศิลปะล้านนานี้ไว้ ไม่อยากให้ทุกคนพลาดโอกาสเรียนรู้โดยตรงจากครูช่างผู้สืบทอดงานคัวตองที่สวยงามนี้ไปด้วยกัน
